A Question!

Question; why do you workout?

Have you ever stopped and wondered why you’re at the gym today? This happened to my on Tuesday I was walking down the stairs after a pretty poor Ab workout in the gymand then the question hit me.

Why am I here? What am I training/exercising for? It all became very clear almost like a scene in a movie where a character has an epiphany moment except for the dramatic lighting and harmonious music.

I think Chemical Bros was pumping out of the sound system at the time. I then turned back up the stairs and straight back into the studio and totally smashed a hardcore 30 minutes Ab workout. The realisation I had was why I was there that day. It was to have a great six pack this summer and the fact that I had done only 10 mins and thought yeah that will do today had been a huge wake up call.

Yes, Yes, Yes, even the humble fitness professional can slack off from time to times. Going back and redoing the workout was the best thing I did all day it gave me a massive boost not only had I had a great work out but I had moved closed to my summer six pack and had loads of crazy energy.

I carried this energy over the whole day even when I saw clients that evening which meant they were really pushed to the max and had an awesome workout.

In order to reach the goals you want whether it be losing belly fat, getting bigger arms or simply wanting to drop a few pounds to get back into your favourite jeans. You are going to have to ask your self the same question I did to keep your focus and drive to achieve the results you desire.

One final thought I want to share today is that, I believe if you have any challenge in your fitness quest or life you must keep going and push past any obstacles or limitations that stand in your way. Be focused and dedicated and you will succeed in achieving what you really want.
