Resistance Training

Ok guys we all know if we lift weight we will get stronger and increase our muscle mass and get the muscular frame we so desire whether it be just for to look and feel good or for fitness and bodybuilding competition events. But ladies what’s in it for you, what are the benefits for you?

If your fitness goal isn’t to be the next Monica Brant (famous figure model competitor) or Iris Kyle (2008 Ms. Olympia Champion)? Well let’s start with the benefits of resistance training for your health.

First and foremost resistance training helps to improve and develop good healthy bone density. This is very important for your health as thousands of people in the UK are diagnosed with Osteoporosis every year.

Secondly resistance training develops your muscles and through consistent training you will improve your strength and muscle tone. Improving muscle tone helps with postural correctness. When doing resistance training you will also add muscle to your body.

Ok, ok, I know, wait, I know you don’t want to be all muscular like a bodybuilder or freaky looking like Madonna but by adding muscle to the body you will in turn improve your metabolic rate and burn more unwanted fat. By adding 1lb of muscle to the body you will in turn burn and additional 50 calories per day every day per week.

So lets do a little calculation. If you take 5 and times it by 7 this equals 35 correct add your zeros and you get 3500. This is the amount of calories contained in a pound of FAT.

So by adding 1lb of muscle to your frame you will burn off 1lb of fat a week. Sounds good right well here is were it gets even better ladies are you ready? This pound of fat is being burnt off at REST. YES that’s right at rest while your chilling at home or out with friends at the movies your metabolism is in overdrive and burning fat. Now here’s why you wont end up looking like The Incredible Hulk.

One word ladies just one word… Testosterone! As lovely ladies you just don’t produce or have enough of this muscle-building hormone in your bodies to help generate or support large muscular developments. However what you will do is build valuable muscle tone, improve posture, build bone density, improve strength and the all-important burning of fat!
